Blair Davis, Yearbook/Newspaper Adviser
Blair Davis is the adviser for the Grand Oaks High School Yearbook, the Ursa Major, and the Newspaper, The Grizzly Gazette! Mrs. Davis has been in education her entire life. She is originally from a small town called Williston, Florida, born in Gainesville, home of the Florida Gators, and was raised to be a fan of the team, and eventually moved to Spring, Texas in July of 2005 due to her mother’s job. Davis grew up in Conroe ISD and graduated from Oak Ridge High School, then moved to Huntsville with family to go to college at Sam Houston State University. Davis directed the color guard for Conroe High School from 2016-2019 while in college obtaining a Bachelors Degree in English. She then left the district to work her first English teaching job in Bryan ISD to be with her soon to be husband. After a short school year in Bryan-College Station, Davis married her husband, and their family moved back to Conroe where Davis worked in Spring ISD for one year, then quickly accepted a teaching position at Grand Oaks High School. Since being at Grand Oaks, she has taught Sophomore English, Junior English, Practical Writing, Journalism, and run the Advanced Journalism programs. Davis currently has two beautiful children: Aurora Lynn, 7, and Coleman Blair, 1. Davis plans to continue teaching the Journalism and Publications programs at Grand Oaks and soon apply for a masters degree program in Journalism.
